The longsword is made from white ash, making it light to wield yet giving it the strength and durability required for intense combat training. The crossguard is substantial and is glued strongly to the main body of the weapon, it will not come loose easily during practice.

The blades are all designed with historical blade profiles in mind, and are constructed with distal taper. This means that the weapons have a more correct sword-like weight and balance, and that the handling characteristics are similar to historical swords. The weapons come unstained and unvarnished; we advise that upon receipt of the item, it should be rubbed with linseed oil or another equivalent solution.
