Rubber Archery Blunt

Starting at: £2.50

This rubber archery blunt is designed to make arrows safe for LARP or historical battle re-enactment events. It can also be placed over the rolled tip of a historical fencing feder to help increase the safety of the sword in the thrust.

The internal diameter of the blunt is such that it should fit over an archery shaft 5/16 to 23/64 of an inch (7.9375 to 9.12813 mm). To help it fit over the rolled tip of a feder, if it does not slip on easily, place the rubber blunt in a pan of boiling water and let it heat for a minute or two - this will cause the rubber to expand, making it easier to slip it over the feder's tip. Once it is in place on the feder, tape it in place so that it does not come off easily.
